For The Trees
Save the trees. Trees are valuable resources. They're used to build houses and furniture, and construct paper and juice boxes. Talk about the value of trees. Teach your kids ways to help save trees. Encourage them to write on both sides of their paper to keep from being wasteful. Teach them about consumption. When we consume more paper goods, more trees need to be cut down. Promote recycling when paper is used. Purchase a tree for your family or a neighborhood garden. Find a tree-planting event in your community. Take the family and be a part of saving this natural resource.

When I send a greeting card now, instead of signing it, I write a note and put it inside. That way the recipient can reuse the card! I usually put a sticky note inside that says "recycle me" to give the hint. It's one way to conserve trees and encourage others to do the same!
