5 minutes of caring
Red Light, Green Light
Use your kids to coast and save gas. Want to save some money on gas? If you're not biking like we know you want to, at least work to curb your carbon emissions and fuel funds by coasting towards stops. Get your kids involved by having them tell you when a stop sign or traffic light is coming up. Use this time to talk about the importance of obeying the speed limit (it's never to early, right?). Teach them that a yellow light signals the need to slow down (and not the need to go faster). Kids are never too young to learn driving safety and etiquette.

Since we live in a place that has one stop light it's a little hard to teach her the "stop/go" of the lights but she is learning about stopping at the corner and looking for cars, looking both ways before crossing the street, etc. And your right, it's never to early to learn.
