Counting the Cost: The ABCs of Financing Independent School Education 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
|
What does an independent school education really cost? How do families plan ahead for the kind of quality education they want for their children? Is financial aid available to middle income families? What do parents do when life circumstances change and tuition they could previously afford become out of reach?
Parents, guardians and caregivers who have wondered about these and other questions, should not miss Counting the Costs: The ABCs of Financing Independent School Education, Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the USN Auditorium. This session is free and open to the general public. It will be conducted by Leslie Vorndran, Associate Director of School Information Services, for the National Association of Independent Schools. Counting the Costs will dispel myths and provide clear, practical advice and information to families and individuals with children currently attending private independent schools, as well as those interested in private education. Seminar topics include: who qualifies for financial aid; what types of assistance is available in K-12 schools; and which key questions parents and caregivers ask school personnel during the admissions and the financial aid processes. As an added bonus, tips on completing the financial aid application will also be given.
