“The Bell Witch Story” is a supernatural thriller based on actual events that took place in Adams, Tennessee from 1817 to 1821, in which a spirit tormented John Bell and his family, leaving him in a terrifying fight against the vengeful ghost to save his children and his own life.

The infamous haunting is the only known case where a spirit actually took credit for killing someone; and is the only haunting acknowledged in any US state records. The play is based on eyewitness accounts from Richard Bell’s manuscript “Our Family Trouble” and Charles Bailey Bell’s book “The Bell Witch of Tennessee”, as experienced by hundreds of people including Andrew Jackson.

The performances will be at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in Nashville (October 9th, 10th, 11th, 16th, 17th and 18th); the Wilson County Fairgrounds in Lebanon (October 23rd, 24th and 25th); and Patterson Theatre in Murfreesboro (October 29th, 30th and 31st).

All shows are at 7:30 p.m.; doors open 30 minutes before each show.

At the door, tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $10 for students.
